Last night at the Democratic Nominating Committee meeting I was elected to run once again for School Committee. I am honored to do so and hope to earn your vote.
Serving on the Committee these last 3 years has been a privilege and a challenge. The privilege has been the opportunity to serve this district that I have worked in throughout my career as a parent, as an educator, as a principal and as a School Committee member. The challenge is to continue to make our district an outstanding one despite the budgetary demands by the state, the regional disagreement still in litigation and the challenge of uneven enrollment in our school system resulting in overcrowding in some schools and under enrollment in others.
That being said, I am definitely up to the challenge and would love to hear from any and all of you as to your concerns, your thoughts, your hopes and your great ideas. I am ready to listen and learn.
