Saline County Sheriff’s Office in Wilber, Nebraska is accepting applications for Correctional Officers. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 19 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid driver’s license, be of good moral character with no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions, and be in good physical condition.

Starting pay rate of $20.00‐$26.00/hour dependent upon education, qualifications, training or experience. Full benefits package includes health insurance, life insurance, retirement plan, paid vacation and sick leave, holiday pay, uniform allowance and a great work environment with a proactive team concept.

💥UPDATE💥

Thank you to everyone who has called and given information in regards to these thefts. The suspect has been identified and items have been recovered.

Crimestoppers

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating theft from two residence in Dorchester, Ne. On 1/29 a Segway scooter was taken from the area of 7th and Franklin between 8am and 1pm. On 2/1 a mini bike and go cart were stolen from the area of 7th and Fulton around 4am. Please check any cameras you may have. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white truck. If you have any information in regard to these thefts or any other crimes is encouraged to call the Saline County crime stoppers.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating criminal mischief case that occured sometime between January 9th and January 11th in Friend, NE. Suspects Damaged light poles at the city pond. Information on these thefts or any other crimes is encouraged to call the Saline County crime stoppers.
