Stone County Regional Correctional Facility – Wiggins, MS

Stone County Regional Correctional Facility is currently accepting applications for Correctional Officers. This is a full-time position with competitive pay, strong benefits, and paid training.

Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain safety, security, and order within the facility
• Supervise inmates and housing units
• Conduct counts, searches, and inspections
• Respond to incidents and emergencies
• Complete required reports and documentation

Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass background, physical, and fitness requirements
• Strong communication and judgment skills
• Law enforcement or military experience preferred, but not required

Today we had the opportunity to recognize something worth talking about.

Yesterday, our Experiencing God class graduated. Today, the ladies in our Alcohol & Drug Turning Points Recovery Program completed their course.

Both of these programs are volunteer-led, and that matters. People from our community are coming in, giving their time, and pouring into others with no expectation of anything in return. That kind of investment makes a difference.

To the volunteers and instructors thank you. What you’re doing inside these walls carries further than you may ever see.
The inmates who completed these programs earned their certificates.

Finishing something like this takes discipline and a willingness to change. That’s not easy anywhere, much less in a correctional setting.

We’re proud of the work being done here at Stone County. Programs like these are about accountability, growth, and giving people the tools to do better when they leave than when they came in. No more victims, no more overdoses.
