Dear Wickliffe Residents:
Kimble Recycling & Disposal, Inc. remains committed to the safe & sanitary condition of your community and the safety and health of our employees.
Because of the COVID-19-related governmental declarations of emergency and regulations, and due to the stay at home order and potential COVID-19 related labor shortages, we must adjust routes & schedules to collect the large increase in residential waste volumes. We are taking precautionary steps and asking our customers to make the necessary changes, to allow us to focus on the essential business of solid waste collections. We are asking for the cooperation of our customers to minimize the disruptions to essential services.
Effective, Monday April 13, 2020 to protect our workers and avoid service disruptions, we are asking for your help by implementing the following changes.
Solid Waste: Please fit all materials into the Kimble provided waste cart leaving no materials to be loaded by hand. Collection will occur as usual.
Recycling: Please fit all recycle items in the Kimble provided recycle cart, leaving no materials to be collected by hand. Include only clean paper, cardboard, metal cans and #1 and #2 plastic containers and jugs. (See website at www.kimblecompanies.com for acceptable recyclable items.) Collection will occur as usual.
Bulk items: Please temporarily hold bulk items that require hand loading, such as sofas, mattresses, appliances, toilets and other bulky items. Items that can be broken or disassembled and placed in the Kimble waste cart, will be collected.
Yard Waste: Separate curbside yard waste collection will be temporarily suspended. Please place no yard waste on the ground for hand collection, yard waste fits into the Kimble waste cart will be collected. Alternatively, Kimble will be providing large roll off containers at a municipal location to accept clean yard waste.
We are continually monitoring the COVID-19 situation and developing plans that can be implemented to continue to respond to this public health emergency. These measures will be implemented as needed to protect the health and safety of our employees, customers and communities we serve.

IMPORTANT KIMBLE UPDATE:

Effective Monday April 6th, Kimble will temporally suspend the collection of yard waste bins, yard waste bags, and bundles of yard waste.

If there is room in your GARBAGE can, you can place yard waste there. DO NOT place yard waste in the recycling bin.

Also, they are asking (at this point) that folks hold on to "bulk" trash for the time being. (TVs, couches, mattresses, etc.) If it's necessary to put extra trash out they will pick it up, but that may change next week.

Figuring this was coming after hearing about Republic & Waste Management doing the same thing, I have already explored getting large dumpsters for the residents to use if needed. This won't be available this week but most likely by 4/13 for a short period of time.

The Willowick Mayor and I will be pushing Kimble for a credit to residents once we know how long this will last as well.

Good morning Wickliffe,

This will be our last week of picking up leaves. The past weekend was perfect for getting the leaves out. If you see us go by it will be our last. Kimble will be picking up yard waste until the end of January. Thank you.
We will be starting south of Euclid Avenue and working to the north. We need to convert our trucks from leaf boxes to salt spreaders.

Hello Wickliffe,

We will be going around the city this week picking up leaves and possibly next, however we are starting to feel the need to convert our leaf trucks into salt trucks. We are doing our best extending time on leaves but soon the weather is going to catch up and we need to be ready. Please use your Kimble container when ever possible. Please get those leaves out, leaf season is coming to a close.

Hello Wickliffe,

We are picking up leaves today. We are working the Cabin, Clark and Johnson area and Bishop Road to Rickey Lane. Very slow moving with all the snow. We have two trucks available due to the fact that we needed to break down a leaf truck to put a salt spreader on it for obvious reasons. Please have patience we will get to your leaves.

Good morning Wickliffe,
We are picking up leaves on the north end of the city, then heading Rush Road to Douglas. We most likely will have crews out next week as the piles are getting larger and more out there. Please remember to use the Kimble container when possible especially for the smaller piles.

We are out picking up leaves and will be south of Ridge Road then heading to the north end. We are not scouring the entire city yet so updates will be brief and not daily. Please use your Kimble container as much as possible. Thank you

Hello Wickliffe,

Leaf season is upon us. You may see us out testing our equipment however we are not scouring the entire city and picking up every pile at this time. Please use the Kimble containers as often as possible especially for the small piles. As you know we start at one end of the city and move to the other then start over again.
