At about 10am, a semi truck rolled over in the Highway 60/93 roundabout and is blocking the outside lane. Traffic is restricted to one lane. Please use caution while driving in the area.

Emergency fire crews from Wickenburg, Circle City Morristown, Congress, and BLM are actively working fires that have affected trailers. Please use caution while driving in the area. As of right now, Highway 60 remains open.

From the first call that came in on Monday, May 11th at approximately 11:30 a.m. in the 500 block of E. Wickenburg Way, our dispatch center was nonstop.

In just one incident, our team of 3 dispatchers handled:

• Approximately 300 incoming 911 and non-emergency calls
• Approximately 100 outgoing calls
• Approximately 5,000 police radio transmissions
• Approximately 700 fire radio transmissions
• Approximately 250 mutual aid fire radio transmissions

While answering calls, dispatchers were also monitoring multiple radio channels, coordinating emergency response, entering notes into the CAD system, and ensuring officers, firefighters, and partner agencies had the information they needed in real time.

Behind every radio transmission and every call for help is a dispatcher working calmly and professionally to keep our community and first responders safe. Thank you to our dispatch team for their dedication, teamwork, and commitment under pressure.

Jones Fire Update – Friday

Beginning Saturday morning, all fire crews will have completed their work in the area.

Residents displaced from the Arrowhead RV Park may return to the park after 8:00 AM on Saturday to retrieve their personal belongings.

On Monday, crews will begin assessing damaged trailers to determine whether they are habitable.

Please use caution while in the area. Southwest Gas Holdings has marked gas lines with cones and red flags.

Jones Fire Update:
In partnership with the Town of Wickenburg, AZ - Your Local Government, the Wickenburg Community Hospital, the Red Cross, and community partners have moved locations to 246 North Washington Street to open a Disaster Assistance Center. Please go to the following link for information about coordinating donations and resources for our community members displaced.

The American Red Cross Shelter operations for the Jones Fire response will be relocating to the Old Wise Owl Building and transitioning into a Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) for community members impacted by the fire.

Jone Fire Community Meeting Update: Jones Fire recovery resources continue to grow as community partners work together to support impacted residents and families.

The American Red Cross remains the primary point of contact for immediate assistance and continues providing shelter and support services.

Please see the attached resource update for currently available support services, community resources, donation information, and recovery coordination efforts.

UPDATE: As of 8pm, residents on South Tegner Street can return home. South Kerkes remains closed.

UPDATE: GO at 2:14p! If you’re in on South Tegner please evacuate.

Jones Fire
Emergency crews are currently on scene of a fire in the 500 block of East Wickenburg Way.

Please avoid the area to allow firefighters and emergency personnel room to work safely. Expect traffic delays and seek alternate routes if possible.
