We’re proud to celebrate Keri McGregor, Harbor House program director, and Lauren Fernz, Supportive Services for Veteran Families program director, recognized as Women Who Lead by the Wichita Business Journal.

Both bring deep care, steady leadership and a commitment to standing by people during some of life’s most difficult moments. Their work reflects what thoughtful, compassionate leadership can look like in our community.

Congratulations on this well‑deserved recognition, and thank you for the dedication you bring to this mission every day.

Twenty years ago, ground was broken for what would become St. Anthony Family Shelter.

What began here continues today through the care, dedication, and generosity of so many. We’re grateful for the vision that started it and for the people who continue to show up for families.

Because of you, families have a place to turn. Make a gift today to continue this mission. Give.CatholicCharitiesWichita.org

Last Friday, members of our Harbor House team joined the community at Take Back the Night to stand with survivors and support a culture of safety and accountability.

Events like this are a reminder that survivors are not alone and that showing up, listening, and standing together matters. We’re grateful for opportunities to walk alongside partners and community members as we work toward healing, dignity, and prevention.

If you or someone you know needs support, help is available through Harbor House and the SAFE Project. Harbor House hotline: 316‑263‑6000

As part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, KSN also shared this segment featuring Keri McGregor, Harbor House program director, and the message behind Denim Day: ksn.com/video/it-doesnt-matter-what-you-were-wearing-wichita-dv-shelter-observes-denim-day

Mental Health Awareness Month is about reducing stigma and making support easier to access.

At Cana Counseling, we often hear the same questions from people considering therapy. The answers are simpler than many expect.

Counseling is available to adults and minors, referrals are not required, and you don’t have to be Catholic to receive care.

Today, we celebrated the heart of the Foster Grandparent Program at our Annual Recognition Ceremony.

We honored Foster Grandparents who have served 3, 5, 10, 14, and 15 years, and recognized an outstanding Foster Grandparent, Debra Williams, with the Lyndon Drew Award, presented by Lyndon Drew himself.

The Lyndon Drew Award honors a volunteer who reflects Lyndon’s legacy of humble dedication and deep care for students, schools, and Foster Grandparents. This recognition celebrates a commitment to supporting students academically, emotionally, and socially, especially those with exceptional learning needs.

The day was filled with laughter, fellowship, dancing, and a delicious lunch from Carriage Crossing as we gathered to celebrate the people who make this program so meaningful.

Thank you to our Foster Grandparents for the time, care, and love you share each day. Your presence makes a lasting difference, and we are so grateful to celebrate you.
