This week, our team came together for our annual Skills Fair, and this year’s carnival theme made learning, teamwork, and professional development more exciting than ever!

From PPE races and safety challenges to interactive games, popcorn, prizes, and hands-on learning opportunities, our associates spent the day strengthening the skills and knowledge that help us provide exceptional care to our residents every day.

While the carnival atmosphere brought plenty of fun, the true purpose of the event was to invest in our people and reinforce the standards of excellence that make our community so special.

Cheers to the dads!

Our Father’s Day Bourbon Tasting was filled with more than just great bourbon—it was filled with laughter, stories, wisdom, and cherished memories.

Residents spent the afternoon reminiscing about their own fathers, sharing what it was like to raise children, and reflecting on the joy of watching their families grow through children and grandchildren. From favorite family traditions to unforgettable moments, the stories shared around the table reminded us of the incredible impact fathers have across generations.

We even received some valuable life advice from our residents, proving that wisdom truly comes with experience.

These meaningful conversations, connections, and opportunities to celebrate life’s journey are what make our community special.

We were honored to welcome Shane Carter from the Kansas African American Museum for an engaging and educational presentation on African American history to kick off celebrating Juneteenth.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the program and were fascinated by the stories and historical insights shared. Many commented that they learned something new about the rich history of Kansas and the important contributions of African Americans throughout our state's past.

Thank you, Shane Carter, for taking the time to visit us and provide such a meaningful learning experience. We appreciate the opportunity to continue learning, growing, and celebrating history together!

Today, we wrapped up the week with a fun DIY Sundae Bar generously provided by Gus with A Better Solution in Home Care!

Throughout this week, we have been reminded of the countless ways our CNAs make a difference. Their kindness, patience, dedication, and commitment to exceptional care are truly the heart of our community. Whether working days, nights, weekends, or holidays, they consistently go above and beyond for our residents.

Yesterday, we celebrated our incredible CNAs with a sweet treat and an even sweeter message: “Donut Know What We’d Do Without CNAs Like You!”

Our team enjoyed coffee and donuts while taking a moment to recognize the compassionate, hardworking caregivers who make such a difference in the lives of our residents every day. From lending a helping hand to providing comfort and companionship, our CNAs consistently go above and beyond.

A special thank you to Nicole with Specialized Home Care for generously providing yesterdays coffee and donuts and helping us show appreciation for the amazing individuals who are the heart of our community.
