The Elkhorn Reserve Center turned into an interactive classroom this month!

The 561st Regional Support Group had an absolute blast hosting about 40 students and teachers from Millard Public Schools for a firsthand look at U.S. Army Reserve capabilities. Students got up close and personal with military operations right in their own backyard.

From climbing inside Heavy Equipment Transporters and Humvees with the 443rd Transportation Company, to learning from our Medical and Military Police unit, these students got a real taste of military life.

As 1st Lt. Jason Buseman noted, "Events like these are great... it was about building a bridge between the military and the local community."

Thank you to the Millard Public Schools students and staff for visiting!

Recently, Soldiers from the 807th Theater Medical Command teamed up with the 451st ESC G6 in Wichita for critical, maintenance-level training on the Army’s latest tactical communication system.

Moving away from standard slide decks, this 3-day course focused entirely on building the "muscle memory" needed to configure, update, and troubleshoot systems that are vital to battlefield communications. This initiative directly supports U.S. Army Reserve’s Operation Connect, ensuring our units are fully operational and ready for major exercises like Operation Sentinel Justice.

"After this three-day course, I can confidently operate the system, maintain visibility on other units, and troubleshoot issues on the fly," said Staff Sgt. Kaitlin Strong, 303rd Field Hospital.

Lethality and readiness are the foundation of everything we do. Soldiers of the 451st Expeditionary Sustainment Command spent the day on the range at Fort Sill, qualifying with the M4 carbine as part of their Field Training Exercise.

From zeroing their optics to engaging targets at varying distances, these Soldiers are putting in the work to ensure they remain combat-ready.
