In addition to the Wichita Public Schools bond proposal, the district has a five-year Capital Improvement Plan to address ongoing facility needs at all schools. If the bond passes, capital funds would be used at Marshall Middle School to address HVAC optimization, roof replacements, electrical system upgrades, and intercom upgrades over the next five years. Without the bond, these projects may take more than five years to complete. Learn how this bond will impact all WPS buildings at wpsbond.org.

School 🏫 will be open tomorrow Thursday!!

All WPS schools will be in session on Thursday, September 17.

We have enough bottled water being delivered to our schools for each student and staff member to have one 17 ounce bottle of water and for food service.

If your student needs additional water, you are welcome to send some with your student.

If you choose to keep your student home, please contact your school.

A decision about after-school and athletic activities for Thursday will be made tomorrow.

✂️🔥 WHEN THE TEACHER BECOMES THE CLIENT! 🔥✂️
Today was a BIG moment in the classroom! One of our students performed her FIRST African American haircut, and guess who sat in the chair and trusted her with the clippers? HER TEACHER! 😮👏🏾💈
There’s something special about teaching a skill, then having enough confidence in your student to say, “Okay… now show me what you learned on ME!” ❤️
She stepped up, picked up those clippers, worked that neckline, and gained some real hands-on experience. 💪🏾✂️ Every great barber and stylist has a first, and moments like this are where confidence is built.
And can we talk about that student concentration?! 👀🔥 She was WORKING!

Marshall Leadership & Service class is collecting donations to make Care Bags for the Union Rescue Mission shelter. Monetary donations would be greatly appreciated to help us purchase items for these care bags. If you would like to donate a particular item, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Garvey at [email protected] for a list of what is needed. To make a financial donation, please send cash or check written to Marshall Middle School and turn in to the office. Make sure to tell them it's for the Leadership project. We appreciate your support!
