Youth Tech Camps 🖥️ These cool and innovative camps are completely interactive and hands-on. Campers will be able to show and share their creations with friends and family at the end of each camp. Students will be pushed to improve higher level thinking, problem solving skills and programming logic. Campers provide their own lunch. Space is limited! Registration deadline is the Wednesday prior to camp.

👾 Arcade Games - eSports👾
Students will develop online games including arcade style, platform and other interactive games that can be published and shared online. Then, those games will be used in an eSport setting where students compete like real gamers. Registration deadline is the Wednesday prior to camp.

🏈 Wichita Park & Recreation has partnered with the NFL to bring NFL FLAG Football to Wichita! NFL FLAG is the largest and most recognized flag football organization in the U.S. — and the only league where players wear official NFL gear. This fun, non-contact program is open to girls and boys ages 4–17.

Players will compete in 6v6 games featuring two 20-minute halves, all played at South Lakes Sports Complex.

🔥 NEW this year: Choose the division that fits your athlete best!
✅ Recreational Division – perfect for beginners learning the game and having fun with friends
✅ Competitive Division – designed for experienced players looking for fast-paced competition and skill development

📅 Fall Season Details
• Practices begin the week of August 24
• Games begin the week of September 7
• Saturday games for 8 weeks

💲 Cost: $75
Registration includes an official NFL jersey and flags!

Youth Specialty Camps (Ages 6-13) Captivate your child's imagination! These special-interest-themed camps will engage campers with fun physical and intellectual challenges, crafts, and interactive games. Bring a lunch and drink.

⚔️ Medieval Times⚔️ Step back in time and have a royal blast! All knights shall prove their bravery through archery, jousting and fun games like storming the castle. Create your own armor and coat-of-arms, design a catapult, learn to juggle like a jester and defend the castle against the dragons and black wizards.

🎆 Red, White & BOOM! presented by Evergy is back! 🎆 Get ready for Wichita’s biggest Independence Day celebration as the downtown skyline comes alive with a spectacular fireworks show over the Arkansas River on Saturday, July 4!

🌟 Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. (immediately following the Wind Surge game at Equity Bank Park) 🎶 This year’s show is choreographed to music! Download the Pyrocast App or scan the event QR code to sync the soundtrack with the fireworks for the ultimate viewing experience.

🍔 Food & Festivities start at 6 p.m.
Come early, grab dinner from local food vendors, claim your spot on the lawn, and enjoy an evening of community, family fun, and patriotic celebration.

Dive into something truly special with the Miracle League of Wichita Swim Team! 💦 Designed for individuals ages 5–25 with disabilities, this program offers a fun, supportive environment at our zero-entry pools with chair lifts and accessible facilities. But it’s more than just an athletic league—it’s a community where families come together, support one another, and create meaningful opportunities for their family members.

Every swimmer receives a uniform, Miracle League swag, a life jacket, and is paired with a Buddy (in most cases a CPR trained Lifeguard) for support during practices and meets. Have someone in mind to be your athlete’s Buddy? Great! If not, no worries—we’re always happy to match swimmers with amazing Buddies. Teams are formed based on pool location.

📢 New League Structure Coming
Wichita Park & Recreation is transitioning to a school boundary–based feeder system to better connect teams with local schools and strengthen community ties. This change will roll out gradually over multiple seasons, allowing established teams to stay together during the transition.

📅 Registration Dates: March 30 – July 26

$75 regular registration
$100 late registration (July 27-August 3)
