Kris Kobach, Attorney General, denied my KORA Complaint to require the City of Wichita to release the Wichita Water Partners PTA Report. The reason - "Based on the information available to us, it appears that the PTA Report you requested was submitted to city staff in order for city staff to analyze the data contained in the report and make determinations on water quality." So I guess reports on the water quality are not important to taxpayers? THAT IS CRAZY.

Another bad contract that allows Bill Koch’s estate to walk away leaving the building in disrepair. No penalties, no fees. Why does the City allow developers to write these contracts? Why do Wichita taxpayers end up paying? Another legacy of former city manager Robert Layton and ineffective city council members.

On Tuesday, City Manager Dennis Marstall will present three options for the City Council to consider.

This is my explanation to Sedgwick County Commission meeting August 26 of the $119,000 in back taxes I discovered in a small sample of industrial Revenue Bonds (IRB) for POET Ethanol Products LLC. There were 112 IRBX exceptions from one 30 year county employee.

Commissioner Howell apologized. City Council said the tax incentives were fair, Sedgwick County said there was no fiscal impact to taxpayers.
They were wrong. $110,000 owed in back taxes by one company.
