The Texas Division of Emergency Management is asking anyone who sustained
damage from storms on Thursday, August 10, 2023, to fill out a damage report online.

All residents have to do is go to damage.tdem.texas.gov and complete a damage report. This will help the state determine how widespread the damages are and what possible state assistance will be available to residents and business owners.

Wichita Falls Fire Department has units remaining on scene at the area of the large grassfire near the State Hospital yesterday monitoring the area and putting out hotspots. We have reports of grass fires in the area of FM 367/FM 2384 and State Highway 25 S/Bradley Ranch area. Volunteer fire departments around the county are working on getting all of these fires contained.

If you live in Wichita County and are concerned about fires in your area, please consider signing up with the CodeRed notification system at https://public.coderedweb.com/CNE/en-US/15449FC88961

The county uses this system to send out mass notifications for general warnings or in case of needed evacuations for natural disasters or other public hazards. If evacuations are needed deputies will also go house to house and make notifications in person but the CodeRed system can help keep you informed.
