Crime Stoppers is a locally-run, nonprofit, community program controlled by the civilian volunteers who oversee the program, raise funds, receive anonymously-provided crime solving information, and make reward payments.

The Wichita Falls Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving the murder of Andrew Lopez.

On May 22, 2022, during the early morning hours, officers and first responders were dispatched to a welfare check in the 1000 block of Covington. When they arrived, they found Andrew unresponsive. He had suffered a gunshot wound.

Life-saving measures were performed, but Andrew tragically passed away from his injuries.

This case remains unsolved more than four years later.

Someone out there knows what happened. Even the smallest piece of information could help investigators bring answers to Andrew’s family and hold those responsible accountable.
