As we head into summer, we just wanted to say one last THANK YOU to the incredible businesses, families, and community members who supported Franklin this year. ☀️
Because of your generosity and partnership, we’ve been able to do so much for our students, teachers, and school community. We’re so grateful for every sponsor who chose to invest in our school this year. Your support makes a real difference, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Reminder: Wednesday, May 20, 2026 will be an Early Release Day for all WFISD campuses.

🕐 Elementary campuses will release at 1:00 PM
🕛 Secondary campuses will release at 12:00 PM

This project took a lot of people coming together over many months, and we’re incredibly grateful for every person who helped make it possible! Thank you to our sponsors, families, teachers, community members, friends, alumni, and everyone who donated, shared, volunteered, or supported this project along the way.

People always say “it takes a village,” and Franklin truly has a great one.

Thank you for believing in our school and helping make this new playground a reality for our students. We can’t wait to see the kids enjoy it. 🦁

We are incredibly grateful to our Franklin PTA and the entire community for making something truly special happen for our students!

Our 3–5 grade playground has long needed a makeover, and thanks to months of dedication, fundraising, and support, that dream is now becoming a reality. Today, our PTA reached their goal—raising an amazing $73,666.34!

Because of this effort, construction will begin soon on a new playground where our students can play, explore, and grow on safe, updated equipment. We know they will be thrilled!

Thank you to everyone who contributed, supported, and believed in this project. This is what community looks like. 💙

A special shoutout to Franklin Elementary’s very own Nurse Sue Callahan — thank you for the compassion, dedication, and calm you bring to every student and staff member you serve. From scraped knees to big worries, you are always there with a helping hand and a caring heart.
