Lake Wichita Chapter of Friends of Reservoirs

Lake Wichita Chapter of Friends of Reservoirs Lake Wichita is the 3rd oldest lake in the State of Texas built in 1901 and was once renowned as the gem of north Texas.

Lake Wichita Chapter of Friends of Reservoirs is a tax-deductible non-profit organization dedicated to restoring fishing habitats, and adding amenities to Lake Wichita to better the quality of life in Wichita Falls, TX. It has served the local area as a water supply and provided social, economic, and recreational benefits to our community as well. As a man made lake, it has outlived it's expected

lifespan and is no longer providing many of the traditional benefits it once did. With the right plan, and proper investment of time and resources Lake Wichita can be restored and once again be a major contributor to the area economy, to the area's social well being, and provide a plethora of recreational benefits. The Lake Wichita Study Committee appointed by the City of Wichita Falls is working diligently to make a restored Lake Wichita a reality. The Lake Wichita Chapter of Friends of Reservoirs is dedicated to supporting their efforts by raising awareness and raising funds for restoration projects.
