Welcome to a new P*P.

Join us in welcoming Dr. John Page to URPG!

Dr. John Page is a board‑certified family medicine physician. Earning his undergraduate studies in genetics at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, Dr. Page attended Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, where he received his medical degree. He went on to complete his family medicine residency at John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, where he also served as Chief Resident during his final year. His training emphasized broad‑spectrum primary care, continuity of care, and a whole‑person approach to health.

Dr. Page values the role of the general physician as someone who not only treats illness but also understands the natural processes of life from beginning to end. This perspective guides his patient‑centered approach, as he partners with individuals of all ages to help them understand the bigger picture of their health and navigate care decisions with confidence. Congratulations to Blake Avera, MD on his retirement. Dr Avera is a native Wichitan. (Hope everyone remembers his father, the famous Chuck Avera, tennis coach at Old High that led the tennis teams to many state titles-including his son)

Yesterday marked the end of an era at North Texas Ophthalmology Associates.

After decades of dedicated care, Dr. Avera officially retired—leaving behind a legacy measured not just in years, but in the lives he helped see more clearly.

His impact on our patients, our team, and this community will not be forgotten.

Thank you, Dr. Avera, for your commitment, your leadership, and the standard you set.

Enjoy this next chapter—you’ve earned it.
