Happy Labor Day from Whittier City School District!

In observance of Labor Day, all WCSD schools and offices will be closed on Monday, September 7.

We hope our students, families, and staff enjoy the long weekend and some well-deserved time to relax, recharge, and spend time together.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday!

☀️ HOT WEATHER ALERT ☀️

With high temperatures expected this week, Whittier City School District is taking extra steps to help keep our students safe, cool, and ready to learn!
Families can help by:

💧 Sending students to school with a refillable water bottle
👕 Choosing lightweight, breathable clothing
☀️ Applying sunscreen before school
🗣️ Reminding students to let an adult know if they are feeling too hot or uncomfortable

At school, our staff will continue monitoring weather conditions, adjusting outdoor activities as needed, providing opportunities for water and shade, and keeping students comfortable throughout the school day.

Today, we were excited to warmly welcome our new certificated employees as they begin their journey with Whittier City School District! 🎉

New Certificated Employee Orientation is more than just an introduction. It’s the beginning of meaningful connections, professional growth, and a shared commitment to student success. Throughout the day, our newest educators learned about our District, connected with colleagues, and prepared to make a positive impact in our classrooms and school communities.
