WETA is proud to support Norma Rodarte for WCSD School Board, Trustee Area 3!

Electing school board members who listen to educators and staff, understand our schools, and put students first matters. We believe Norma will be that voice on our School Board, and now we need to help get her elected!

🗳️ Want to help? We’re helping organize small groups to place door hangers on Saturday mornings and after school, based on when volunteers are available. WETA members, CSEA members, friends, family, and other supporters are all welcome! Sign up on your own and we’ll connect you with a group, or grab a few people and sign up together.

As union educators, we know the fight doesn’t stop. We will continue to stand together for fair wages, safe and fully funded schools, and the futures our students and communities deserve.

WETA and CSEA endorsed Norma Rodarte, now we need your help to elect her!

Getting Norma onto the WCSD School Board is incredibly important, but our endorsements only matter if we turn that support into action.

🗳️ We need your help getting out the vote! We’re asking WETA and CSEA members to give just an hour or two on a Saturday this September or October to help us reach voters in our community.

Even a little bit of time makes a difference! No experience is necessary and everything you need will be provided for you.

Can’t make a Saturday? You can still help! Grab a few colleagues or friends and canvass together after school or another time that works for you. Reach out and we’ll help coordinate!

This is an important race, and getting Norma elected will take all of us doing what we can. The more of us who show up, the more voters we can reach.

Today, we're celebrating Women's Equality Day. We're honoring the generations of women who fought for the right to vote and the women in our union still fighting for equity today.

In 1920, the 19th Amendment won women that right. Educators have been fighting to make it mean something ever since, in our classrooms, our locals, and at the bargaining table.

Tag a woman in your school who inspires you.

As a former WCSD employee and union leader, Norma knows our schools, our community, and the importance of listening to the educators and staff who serve our students every day. We’re proud to support her alongside our CSEA partners, who have also endorsed her for School Board! ❤️
