In construction, shoring is a temporary support system used to keep excavations and structures stable while work is underway. It helps protect crews as they maintain and improve critical Sanitation Districts infrastructure.

Through the Clean Water Works Education Foundation Clean Water Works Education Foundation students can explore water, wastewater, science, and environmental stewardship through engaging educational programs and resources.

You do not need to leave your car! Just drive up and we’ll handle the rest!

We welcomed the Whittier Area Chamber of Commerce to the Sanitation Districts for their Wake Up Whittier event.

Whittier City Council Member and Los Angeles County Sanitation District No. 2 Chairperson Catherine Warner and Sanitation Districts’ Assistant Chief Engineer & Assistant General Manager Martha Tremblay opened the meeting with welcoming remarks. As part of their visit, Chamber members had the opportunity to tour the San Jose Creek Water Reclamation Plant, where they got a firsthand look at the wastewater treatment process and how we convert waste into resources.

Thank you to the Whittier Area Chamber of Commerce for the opportunity to connect with local businesses, schools and community organizations.

We loved welcoming the community for a day of facility tours, hands-on activities, STEM learning, big trucks, giveaways, and more. We hope everyone walked away with a better understanding of how we protect public health and the environment.
