e are very proud of our students' accomplishments and look forward to many more. Katherine Edwards Middle School has made the following commitment:

- We will not let students off the hook for failing to learn
- We will make students do what is necessary to succeed
- We will not give students the easy way out
- We will give students extra time and support

Our focus is on what students have learned. We provide a variety of experiences that are well planned and articulated to give all students the opportunity to develop their skills to the fullest. At Edwards, we are solution-oriented. We believe everyone is part of making this school a good place for kids. Everyone can come in and address concerns and suggest solutions to make our school a place where children come first. Mr. Chapeta’s class had a blast launching their bottle rockets! Students combined creativity, teamwork, and science as they put their designs to the test and watched them soar into the sky. What an exciting hands-on learning experience! 🚀🌟

So much engagement and teamwork during our “Drops on a Coin” lab! 💧🪙

Students collaborated to investigate how many drops of water could fit on a coin, then used their results to calculate measures of central tendency. To conclude the activity, they created graphs to represent and analyze their data.

Hands-on learning, critical thinking, and teamwork in action! 📊

Our 8th Grade Breakfast was truly bittersweet.

It was wonderful seeing all of our Royals together one last time before they begin their next chapter in high school. The memories, friendships, and accomplishments they’ve made during their time at KEMS will always be a part of our Royal family.

A special thank you to our 8th Grade Committee for putting together such a wonderful breakfast and helping make this event so memorable!
