Update on Chambers Meadow Estates Water as of 3:15 pm on 8/19/2025 - Technicians found electrical control issues. As soon as the new pump is installed, the well will be running off of a generator.

08/17/2025

AS OF 8/19/2025: A technician is on the way that works specifically with these well pumps to see what is causing the pump to keep shutting down.

UPDATE as of 8/18/25 at 4:30 pm: The well is operational again. Crews are flushing the lines and pressure is building. You should have water this evening and in the morning to shower. Please boil water before consumption until further notice. We have to have it tested before we can lift the boil requirement.

UPDATE: Lightning struck the well and burned up a cable connected to the pump. The first water delivery truck just arrived and a second one is on the way. We anticipate the cable will be replaced later this afternoon, and assuming there are no additional problems found, the pump should be working. We do have to keep asking for customers to boil their water until the well is again operational and the water it produces has been tested. We will provide everyone with a notice when it is no longer necessary to boil the water.

Technician is headed to the well at Chambers Meadow Estates to determine the issue. We are working on having bottled water delivered and water delivered to the tank, but it may be tomorrow before the water truck can make the bulk water delivery.

UPDATE: Everyone should have water. Pressure is building back up. It will take time for the water to clear up as the sediment was stirred up when the fire department utilized the well.

Crews are working at the Chambers Meadow water system to try to resolve the issue. As I am told more, I will share.

Attention Chambers Meadow Estates:
Boil Water Notice Rescinded as of 7/14/2025

On July 4, 2025 the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Chambers Meadow Estate public water system, TX0700071, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of 7/14/2025.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact HILCO United Services Manager, Tommy Bradley at (800) 338-6425.

Update 7/9/25 @ 9:55 am: Crews are distributing bottled water again today. Yesterday, we delivered two water trucks, which filled the tank to two-thirds capacity, but it was unfortunately drained by 5:30 PM.

We have two more water trucks arriving today. We also have a mix of good and bad news regarding the well. The well puller retrieved multiple pieces of the pump motor yesterday, but not the entire motor. As a temporary solution, we've installed a smaller motor. This should provide a short-term fix until a more suitable time can be arranged for a complete well repair.

Please conserve water as much as possible. The boil water notice remains in effect until further notice.

Update 7/8/25 @ 3:40 pm: The second load of water has been delivered and pumped into the tank. You will have low pressure but at least some water. We have two more trucks scheduled to bring water tomorrow. The well puller is still trying to extract the broken pump. Continued prayers for the repairs to be made.

Update 7/8/25 @ 11:50 am: the first load of water has been delivered and the truck is leaving to get another. The well puller is still trying to extract the broken pump. We are praying their attempts will work.

UPDATE: We have two different companies working on the well pump additionally we are having water brought in to fill the tank tomorrow morning. Please conserve water tomorrow as much as possible. Boil notice will continue until further notice.

UPDATE: This morning, the well pulling company arrived as planned and successfully pulled the well. However, during the process, the pump broke in half, leaving the motor portion stuck in the pipe.

We have another crew en route from Austin, expected to arrive within two hours. They will be tasked with running a camera down the well to assess the situation and determine the best course of action for extracting the broken piece.

Due to the unpredictable nature of this issue, we cannot provide an estimated timeline for when water service will be restored. There are currently too many variables to give an accurate timeframe.

Please plan accordingly for the continued water outage. HILCO crews will be available to hand out bottled water.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

UPDATE: Well pump is scheduled to be pulled out on Monday. I will provide information on estimated repair time as soon as I hear more.

The well pump at Chambers Meadow is out. Please boil water until further notice. Water will be handed out to residents by HILCO staff.

We are aware of the no water/low pressure issue in Bosque County, the Laguna Park area. The booster pumps are not working as the storms that passed through the area earlier today caused a power outage. Texas-New Mexico Power is working to restore service as quickly as possible, but has indicated it may be as late as 10:15 pm before they are able to restore power. Once the power is on, water pressure will build back up. Thank you for your patience during this time.
