Fresh off their Section IV Class D Championship, the Golden Eagles Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team is ready for the next challenge!

The Eagles will represent Section IV in Sub-Regional play against the Section III champion on Tuesday, June 3 at 7 p.m.

After an outstanding showing at the Section IV Class C Championships, Whitney Point Track & Field is ready for the next challenge!

Congratulations to our Class C Champions:
🥇 Dylan Whitney – 200m
🥇 Payton Martin – 400m
🥇 Addison Feathers, Ava Oliver, Madeline Zehr & Payton Martin – 4x400 Relay

The Eagles also brought home multiple top finishes across both the boys' and girls' competitions. Now it's time to cheer them on as they compete for a spot at the state meet!

Last week, we welcomed our future Golden Eagles for our annual Level-Up Day at WP High School!

Our 8th-grade students spent a whole day getting a sneak peek at life in high school by touring the building, meeting staff, participating in team-building activities and hearing words of wisdom from our senior class.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was the opportunity for our incoming freshmen to connect with current students who have been in their shoes. Through conversations, activities and shared experiences, our students began building relationships that we hope will continue long after they walk through our doors in September.

The day concluded with a picnic celebration, giving everyone a chance to relax, have fun and celebrate this exciting next step in their educational journey.

At Whitney Point, we believe that "Kids Are the Point." Every day, we strive to create a school community where students feel welcomed, supported, connected and valued. Our hope is that Level-Up Day helped each eighth grader feel more confident about high school, knowing they have a network of peers and adults ready to help them succeed!

A special thank you to our juniors, seniors, staff and volunteers who made this day possible. We can't wait to welcome the Class of 2030 this fall!

The Golden Eagles' Varsity Lacrosse Team has soared to the top!

Congratulations to our WP Eagles on capturing the Section IV Class D Championship with an outstanding performance on Saturday, May 30. Your hard work, determination, teamwork and commitment throughout the season have paid off in championship fashion.

This title is a testament to the dedication of our student-athletes, coaches, families and supporters who have been behind the team every step of the way. The Eagles proudly brought home the Section IV crown and now set their sights on the next challenge.

🦅 Learning About Our Community, One Stop at a Time! 🦅

This week, all of our CEA kindergartners took part in Community Field Trips and had an AMAZING opportunity to learn from some of the wonderful businesses and organizations that make our community so special!

A huge thank you to our incredible community partners: Gregg's, NAPA, True Value, NBT Bank, Guthrie Whitney Point, Mary L. Wilcox Library, Whitney Point Post Office, and Dominic's. Students made pizza, toured local businesses, decorated their own donuts and got an up-close look at how these organizations serve our community every day.

At each stop, our young Golden Eagles asked two important questions:
⭐ How does this business help our community?
⭐ What job could you have at this business?

These experiences helped students connect classroom learning to the real world while discovering the many people and careers that help our community thrive.

A special shoutout to all of our community partners for welcoming our students and supporting their learning. We are so grateful for your partnership and encouragement!

Today students at the high school were able to participate in "The Choice is Yours Day" organized by SADD with an assist from FCCLA members. Students signed a pledge to drive safely and received a bracelet, listened to a state trooper present the dangers of not wearing a seatbelt, participated in the seatbelt challenge for prizes and had a chance to drive the bike with the drunk googles.

The Whitney Point Boys Lacrosse team is headed to the Section IV Class D Championship this Saturday, May 30 at Horseheads High School!

Gates open at 10 a.m. with our Boys LAX taking the field at 11 a.m. for the Class D championship!
