There's still time to dig in!

The Northfield Township Community Garden has several plots currently available and is welcoming all gardeners for the upcoming growing season. Whether you're a seasoned grower or just getting started, the garden offers a great opportunity to connect with neighbors, enjoy the outdoors, and grow your own fresh produce.

The Community Garden offers a space to those who may not have it to grow and harvest their own produce in a friendly community space. Each garden plot is approximately 4’ x 8’ and approximately 12” in height.

There is a $25 usage fee per plot plus a $10 refundable deposit per plot. This fee applies to residents and non-residents of Northfield Township and helps cover maintenance and supply needs that may occur such as soil/compost blend. Deposit and fee can be paid by cash or check, made payable to Northfield Township.

frost/freeze advisory - be sure to cover your plants

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1LUhEcF6KB/

There's a frost/freeze advisory for much of the Lower Peninsula. Above average temperatures has caused plants to push tender new growth that may be damaged by low temperatures. Gardeners may have been tempted to plant or set out tender annual and perennial plants. They should be brought inside or covered to protect them.
