Jay Gardner has resigned as Recreation Director for the Town of Whitmire. Until we can advertise, interview and fill the position Brandy Gresham will be acting Director in the interim until a new Director is hired through the advertising interviewing and hiring process with approval of the Whitmire Town Council. We have a 6 inch water main leak on hwy 66. Town crew is on the scene. Please use caution if traveling through the area. You will have little or no water pressure until repair is completed. Leak is between Mets curve and airport road. Thanks for your understanding.

Whitmire Recreation News:

Registration forms for Fall Cheerleading and Flag Football will be sent home from Whitmire Community School will be sent home this week. Please check your child’s book bag for these forms. If your child is interested in playing contact and we will schedule a time to turn your forms in and get your child signed up
Registration runs through August 17th, 2026
Registration for tackle football is now closed.
PLEASE DO NOT TURN FORMS TO THE SCHOOL!!!

Whitmire Recreation News:

Registration for our Fall Sports programs of Cheerleading and Flag Football begins today.
We will be conducting registration tonight for open house at Whitmire Community School beginning at 5:30pm.
Registration will run for two weeks with the last day for registration being August 17, 2026.

Filing date: Noon August 3rd through noon August 17th . File at Town Hall 95 Main st between 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Filing fee is $100.
