Join us Tuesday, October 20, for an elegant evening celebrating our Chamber members, local businesses and community.

Our theme this year will be winter, so get ready for a beautiful evening filled with frosty details and seasonal charm!

Join us tomorrow for our monthly Chamber Luncheon as we take time to get to know one another!

We spend a lot of time searching for informative guest speakers for our luncheons, but it recently occurred to me that some of the most interesting and important people we could hear from are already sitting in the room.

For our September luncheon, we’re shifting the focus to networking, building connections and recognizing the individuals who continually support the Chamber by attending our luncheons.

Join us Wednesday, September 16 at noon at the McCreary County Public Library. Everyone will have an opportunity to introduce themselves, share the business or organization they represent and tell us a little about what they do.

We’ll also make time for brief updates about upcoming events, projects, promotions and other things happening throughout McCreary County.

Chamber members will have the opportunity to vote for our new board members and officers. Tickets for the upcoming Chamber Annual Banquet will also be available for purchase.

Lunch will be catered by Megan’s Sweet Treats!

Whether you’re a Chamber member, business owner, community leader, organization representative or simply interested in becoming more connected within our community, you’re welcome to join us.

We’re tossing around a FUN idea for the 4th Annual Main Street Spooktacular Candy Giveaway on October 31st… but we need to know if our community is interested BEFORE we make it happen!

We’re talking:

🇺🇸 McCreary County Remembers — 25 Years Later

The McCreary County Fiscal Court invites our entire community to join us on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM on the McCreary County Courthouse Steps as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

For 25 years, our nation has carried the memory of those we lost and the examples of courage, sacrifice, service, and unity we witnessed in the days that followed.

Our memorial service will bring together the McCreary Central JROTC, Choir and Band, the VFW, American Legion, our local first responders, community organizations, businesses, public servants, students, veterans, and citizens.

We especially invite our veterans, firefighters, EMS personnel, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, emergency personnel, local merchants, banks, utilities, churches, schools, McCreary County Public Library, civic organizations, and families throughout McCreary County to attend.

Whether you remember exactly where you were on September 11, 2001, or you belong to a generation born afterward, this is an opportunity for us to stand together as one community and ensure that the meaning of that day is passed on.

There’s nothing we love more than celebrating a new business opening its doors in McCreary County!

Today, the McCreary County Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of officially welcoming Jessica’s Kitchen to our Chamber family with a ribbon cutting on their OPENING DAY!

Opening a small business takes courage, hard work, long days, and a whole lot of determination. We are always excited to see someone invest in our community, follow a dream, and create something new right here at home.

WELCOME TO THE CHAMBER, JESSICA’S KITCHEN! 🍽️❤️

We are excited to welcome Jessica’s Kitchen as one of the newest members of the McCreary County Chamber of Commerce, and we’re even more excited to celebrate with them on their OPENING DAY!

📍 Main Street, Whitley City

And trust us… you’re going to want to come hungry! 😋

Jessica’s Kitchen is bringing home-cooked goodness to Main Street with rotating lunch specials, homemade soups, burgers, sandwiches, salads, fresh-baked bread and desserts like cookies, cupcakes and cheesecakes. 🍲🍔🍞🍰

Lunch specials will include favorites like beef stew, Goldfish Chicken, taco casserole, meatloaf and more. And on Saturdays, Jessica will be serving up a different pasta dish of her choice! 🍝

There is something special about seeing a new business open its doors in our community. It means someone had a dream, took a chance and chose McCreary County as the place to make it happen. ❤️

So mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 1! Stop in beginning at 10 AM to grab something delicious, then join us at noon as we officially cut the ribbon and welcome Jessica’s Kitchen to the Chamber!

Another great McCreary County Chamber of Commerce luncheon is in the books! ❤️

A big thank you to Larry King with the McCreary County Farmers Market for joining us as our August guest speaker. We appreciate Larry taking the time to share with our Chamber members and give us a closer look at the Farmers Market and the work being done right here in our community.

We also want to give a special thank you to Jamie Davis and Josh Stephens for stepping up and filling in for Chamber President Michelle Perry and Vice President Crystal Taylor while they were representing McCreary County at the Kentucky State Fair. We are so thankful for people who are always willing to jump in and help keep things running smoothly!

A big thank you to Santa Fe Mexican Restaurant for catering a delicious lunch for everyone!

We are also incredibly grateful to the McCreary County Public Library for allowing us to utilize their space each month for our Chamber luncheons. Their continued hospitality and support give our local businesses, organizations, and community leaders a place to come together, connect, and build relationships.

And, of course, thank you to everyone who joined us for our August luncheon. We appreciate your continued support of the McCreary County Chamber of Commerce and our community!
