Citizens, please remain vigilant and avoid potential scams. Always verify that contractors are properly licensed and insured before allowing any work on your property. City Hall will open at 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning and be there to help get roofers registered as contractors and permits issued first thing.

Be weather aware and watch for the potential for more storms later today and tonight.

🚨STATEWIDE EMERGENCY ALERT🚨
Whitewright Fire-Rescue will be participating in a Statewide Emergency Alert Drill on Thursday, April 2, 2026. During this time, test messages will be sent through public alert systems to evaluate multiple warning capabilities used to notify residents during emergencies.
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM
Because multiple jurisdictions are participating, you may receive more than one test alert during this time period.
Alerts will be distributed through:
• CodeRED
• Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS)
• Outdoor Warning Sirens
🚨 THIS IS ONLY A TEST 🚨
Testing like this ensures that emergency alert systems function properly and helps keep our community prepared when real emergencies occur.
This is a coordinated effort with:
• Grayson County Office of Emergency Management
• Whitewright Fire-Rescue
For additional information, including how to sign up for emergency alerts in your area, please review the official news release below. https://www.co.grayson.tx.us/page/oem.cred
