Today we celebrate A Nation of Service! We will join volunteers nationwide for the AmeriCorps Seniors National Celebration. The
national broadcast runs 2:00–3:30 p.m. ET.

This Friday, September 11, 2026, we are called once more to stand together, set aside our differences, and transform our individual efforts into a shared mission. Join us and 9/11 Day, as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of the attacks. You are invited to join and lead community service projects, engage with your neighbors, and create lasting impact.

There are many ways to get involved and make a difference, including:

🐾 Helping care for and feed animals
🛍️ Assisting in the thrift shop
🎉 Helping with special events

If you are already an AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP volunteer and would like to serve at Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, please contact our office to learn more.

Not currently an RSVP volunteer? No problem! Joining AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP is easy, and it allows you to make a difference in your community while having your volunteer hours officially count toward your service.
