🏍️ Exciting News for The Town of Whiteville ! 🏍️

We are very fortunate this year to have this event passing right through our town!

This Thursday, May 7th, at approximately 8:00 AM, around 150 motorcycles will be riding through Whiteville traveling eastbound on Highway 64 toward Bolivar.

Please be mindful of increased motorcycle traffic, drive safely, and help us welcome these riders as they pass through our community in support of a great cause.

For more information about the ride, visit:https://www.kylepettycharityride.com/

Let’s show them some small-town support as they ride through! 🇺🇸🏍️

Led by NASCAR's Kyle Petty, the Ride travels across the country on motorcycles each year to raise funds for Victory Junction.

This is a real issue and if you Google about current sport team candy fundraiser scams these incidents have turned into robbery and assaults. I did not become aware of this until I was approached myself at Bolivar Walmart yesterday by three young men trying to sell candy for a sports team fundraiser. They had no paperwork on them at the time that represented the team they were raising for. I was working security at my secondary job in Memphis when we had two different groups conducting the same scam one for flag football and one for a travel basketball team. Be cautious and aware when walking back to your vehicles in parking lots.

God Bless,

Chief Ben Davis
