City of Whitesburg Recycling Center The City of Whitesburg would like to encourage all residents and businesses of Letcher County to utilize this facility.

This will allow us to help keep Letcher County cleaner. We accept type 1 and 2 plastic, aluminum, tin cans, scrap metal, cardboard and paper. At this time we DO NOT accept GLASS or GARBAGE. For the citizens of the City of Whitesburg, Wednesday night is Blue Bag night. We will be collecting your blue bags and recyclables on that night. For citizens outside of the City, set your blue bag recyclables

out and the Sanitation Department will pick those up on your normal trash pick up day. If you have questions, concerns or comments you can call 606-632-CANS(2267) or City Hall 606-633-3700.
