From Cowan Elementary to Fleming-Neon Middle and Whitesburg Middle, our students are being challenged to think deeply, explain their thinking, and take an active role in their learning.

Mrs. Wright’s Advanced Geometry students put their skills to work planning a 5-day road trip across the United States. Students worked in groups of 2-3, using the coordinate plane, distance formula, midpoint formula, and real-world calculations to determine distances traveled, trip time, fuel usage, and cost. Each group of students had different trip itineraries.

👮‍♂️ 🚔 Join us in welcoming two more officers to the LCPS Police Department. Jamie Turner and Jay Perkins were sworn in today and will be serving LEMS and LCCHS. We are proud to have both of them on our team! 🚓 ✨

We’re not saying we’re encouraging it…

🐾 WILL LEMS & CES BATTLE IT OUT WITH THEIR MASCOTS?!
Nothing says attendance supremacy like a mascot showdown. 😂

Will last year’s Juniors—now Seniors—SHOW UP & SHOW OUT…
or has SENIORITIS already taken over?! 👀😂

Symptoms may include excessive sleeping, believing attendance is optional, and saying “I’m a senior” approximately 47 times a day.

There’s only ONE way to find out…
