After pushing black turbulent (fast moving) smoke, the structure has collapsed.

Crews will continue to be on scene and monitor the fire for the remainder of the night. This training happens when the home owner signs a fire dept. document and passes an inspection with EPO.

A few more houses are set to be burned in the future.

Tonight, Station 810 will be conducting a live burn off of hwy 73 across the old canteen.

Fire Danger on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation is currently classified as “Moderate.” This indicates that fires may ignite from various accidental sources, although the overall frequency remains low. Should a fire occur, it typically exhibits moderate intensity and spreads at a moderate rate. During windy conditions, fires in open, dry grassland may burn and advance more slowly. Overall, fires are unlikely to become severe and are generally straightforward to control.
