Captain Chimoni and Firefighter Kessay will be responding in a Tactical Tender to Los Angeles, CA to help with firefighting efforts.
Tactical Tenders provide much needed water to areas scarce of water.
Keep our Apache firefighters in prayer as they provide assistance to Los Angeles and the state of California.

Thank you to Councilman Jerold Altaha, WMAT Dist II. After running into many walls he took over and just like that he did it. This wouldn’t have happened without you. Especially this fast. Retired Chief Kuehl and Tessay for following through until the building was complete. Now we have the keys and hope to put the Cedar Creek Fire Station in service very soon. The community of Cedar Creek and Carrizo will receive a faster response for emergencies. This will also help Cibecue Fire Station in assisting with US 60.
Thank you again Councilman Altaha. ❤️

IT’S OFFICIAL!! The White Mountain Apache Tribe’s Fire & Rescue received the Certificate of Occupancy and keys to the Cedar Creek Fire Station this morning from Principal Colletta Wilson of the John F. Kennedy Day School. After several weeks of collaborations between my office, JFK Principal Colletta Wilson and BIE officials, we took ownership of this brand new Fire Station today January 30, 2024. Cedar Creek’s Fire Station 840 will be up and running in the coming weeks. The Fire Station will be open daily from 8AM-5PM and available after hours on-call. The OFFICIAL Grand Opening is scheduled for Saturday March 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM. I will provide more details on the grand opening celebration in the coming weeks! Pictured here are from left to right: Fire Captain Merlon Indian, District II Councilman Jerold Altaha, WMAT Fire Chief Melanie Alchesay, JFK School Principal Mrs. Colletta Wilson.
