Had the pleasure of hosting Whiteland Elementary students today during a dispatch tour.

More students cashed in Warrior Way tickets for our bigger “experience” incentives! Thank you to our Clark-Pleasant Police Department for welcoming these students to their headquarters!

🚔💙 Earlier this week some students from Ray Crowe Elementary cashed in their hard-earned Warrior Way Bucks for a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Police Department!

Students had the opportunity to meet our team, learn how emergency calls are handled, see the technology used to keep our schools and community safe, and ask some great questions along the way. 📞🖥️🚓

We are proud to partner with our schools to reward positive behavior and create meaningful connections between students and law enforcement. Experiences like these help build trust, leadership, and a better understanding of the important work happening every day behind the scenes.

Great job to all of our students for demonstrating the Warrior Way and earning this unique opportunity! 👏💪

Join us for a fun-filled evening at National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4th!

This is a FREE community event bringing neighbors and law enforcement together for a night of connection, safety, and fun.

We’re excited to partner with the Johnson County Indiana Sheriff's Office, Whiteland Police Department, and New Whiteland Police Department to make this a great experience for everyone!

Our K9 Unit had a fantastic time visiting students at Whiteland Community High School Animal Science class yesterday! The students got to meet our talented K9 Officers, learn about their training, and see them in action. It was a great opportunity to share how our K9 partners help keep the students safe while inspiring future animal science enthusiasts. Thanks to Mrs. Knight for having us! Out of an abundance of caution, Break-O-Day Elementary and Ruth Callon Center were placed on a secure status earlier today while officers investigated a report of a possible violent suspect in the surrounding area.

At no time was there any threat inside the schools. During a secure, all students and staff remain safely inside the building while normal operations continue indoors.

Officers quickly responded, thoroughly checked the area, and the secure status has since been lifted. We appreciate the cooperation of school staff and students, as well as the patience of parents during this situation.

As always, the safety of our schools and community remains our top priority.

Today, The Clark-Pleasant Police Department would like to take a moment for National K9 Veterans Day.

National K9 Veterans Day is observed annually on March 13 to honor the service and sacrifices of U.S. military and working dogs. Marking the 1942 founding of the Army’s War Dog Program (K-9 Corps), this day recognizes the loyalty, bravery, and lifesaving work of K9s in combat, detection, and law enforcement.

A special thanks to the good boys and girls who have served our Nation, Community and Schools loyally.

Traffic Safety Reminder for Our Community & Student Drivers 🚦

We want to remind all community members and student drivers that directions given by a law enforcement officer directing traffic must be followed at all times — even if they differ from posted signs or traffic signals. Be vigilant of officers wearing neon yellow vests and utilizing red lights for traffic direction.

Under **Indiana Code 9-21-8-1 (Failure to Obey Traffic Control Officer)**, drivers are legally required to comply with any lawful order or direction of a police officer directing traffic. Failure to do so may result in a citation.

For student drivers, refusal or failure to comply with law enforcement traffic direction may also result in school disciplinary consequences, suspension of campus driving privileges, and/or a traffic citation.

Our goal is safety — for students, families, and the entire community. Please slow down, stay alert, and follow officer instructions in school zones and traffic details.
