RIP

It is with great sadness that Oldwick Fire Company announces the passing of life member John (Rick) Brady. He was 99 years old. Rick was a stalwart figure in our community and a dedicated member of our company. A proud World War 2 veteran who served with the Navy, he was also the former owner of the Tewksbury Inn, which he revitalized during his tenure. His contributions to the Oldwick Fire Company have been numerous and significant. Frequently involved in planning the foundation of our events, Rick's influence was evident at every pancake breakfast, James Street Halloween event, and virtually all company functions. His meticulous checklists, preserved in our archives, continue to guide us in executing events with his signature attention to detail. To say we will miss Rick is a vast understatement. Today our company lost its strongest pillar. Rest easy brother, we have the watch.

🚨 School is Back in Session – Stop for School Buses! 🚨
As our students head back to class today, please remember it is illegal to pass a stopped school bus with its red lights flashing and stop sign extended.
All school buses owned by the Readington Township School District are equipped with cameras that capture vehicles passing illegally. 🚍📸 Last year alone, over 50 summonses were issued in Readington Township for motorists who failed to stop.
Passing a school bus isn’t just against the law—it puts children’s lives at risk. Let’s work together to keep our kids safe this school year.
✅ Always stop for school buses.
✅ Be alert in school zones.
✅ Slow down and drive with care.
Let’s make this a safe year for everyone!
