Reminder!

The street renovations for Sheila Blvd between Dewey St and Hobson St will begin on Monday, June 15th.

Renovation plans on Lee St will begin the week of June 22nd with Sandra St beginning sometime the week of June 29th. Plans are subject to change as weather permits!

Ordinance of the Month!

This month is about getting your Firework Permits!

According to Ordinance 9.04.040 Fireworks, as defined by 167.10 Wis. Stats., may be used and
displayed in the City of Whitehall, in open areas by public authorities, fair associations, amusement parks,
park boards, civic organizations and other groups or individuals only when a permit for such display has
been granted.

To apply for a Firework Permit please visit the City Hall Office at 36295 Main St. The cost for the permit is $10.00.

The City of Whitehall is accepting applications from qualified applicants for a full-time Deputy Clerk/Treasurer.
Position duties include customer service, utility billing, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, tax collection, election administration, and records management. The successful candidate must be able to multi-task, have strong attention to detail in regard to clerical and accounting work, be proficient in using Microsoft Office programs, and be able to learn computer operations for payroll and utility billing. He or she must have strong communication and public relations skills. A degree in Accounting or equivalent experience is preferred.
The position includes a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision insurance, Wisconsin Retirement Plan, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. Whitehall, please be aware that 3 street renovation projects will begin on June 15th. The locations will be at Sheila Blvd., Lee St., and Sandra St. The estimated completion date will be 30 July with the potential to have limited access before then.
