In Wisconsin, we look out for our neighbors. Preparedness is no different.

This National Preparedness Month, check in with someone who might need a little extra help during an emergency, especially older adults, people with disabilities, or neighbors who live alone.

A quick call. A simple conversation. A helping hand. Prepared neighbors make stronger Wisconsin communities.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With parts of expected to get severe in the wee hours tonight, it's important to be just as prepared for bad after dark as you are during the day.
Before you tuck in for the night be sure to have:
⚫ A weather radio tuned to your local station,
⚫ A cell phone turned on and charged with emergency alerts enabled,
⚫ Shoes and a flashlight handy,
⚫ Know where to go. Have a safe place to shelter if storms are coming.
Be weather aware day and night with these tips: www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/climate/storms.htm

It's ! 💜

This year's theme, "988 Reasons: Your reason is reason enough," reminds us that you don't have to be in crisis to reach out to the 988 Lifeline. Whatever you're facing, support is available.

Today, share what 988 means to you - whether it's reaching out for support, checking in on someone you care about, finding someone to talk to, or simply knowing that help is available when you need it.

Share your reason and help remind others that there's no wrong time to reach out to 988.
