This long away from home POW is returning home after over 80 years. The clergy from the church notified me this morning inviting all Legion Posts in Trempealeau County to attend. Army will perform honors so no color guard required but Posts may bring their colors.
Born in Stoddard, he lived at n Holmen, Centerville and finally in Trempealeau. I believe he left Trempealeau in 1936 for California where he enlisted. He put Trempealeau on his enlistment papers as last home of record.
Hopefully there is a large turnout!

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- A funeral date has been set for a Wisconsin WWII veteran whose remains were identified more than 80 years after his death.

Open to ALL the Veterans young and old who took the oath and donned a uniform for this great nation, and for the freedoms we have today. By the recognition of the Veteran, It's their way of saying "Thank You for your Service and Sacrifices. "

IN IMMEDIATE NEED OF an electric wheelchair / scooter for a friend. Her prosthetic leg is in the shop for repair / fine tuning. Her chair now doesn’t work making very difficult mobility issues.
Does anyone have an “extra” that could be loaned out until hers is repaired or perhaps one not needed anymore they want to get rid of?
It would be so very much appreciated for this very kind and giving gal! She’s a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and always doing for others!

📣HAPPENING THIS SUNDAY! REGISTER YOUR KIDS TODAY!📣

We are excited to again host the The Gilbert Brown Foundation this year as they put on a FREE football camp for all kids, ages 6 to 18 on Sunday July 21st, starting at 9am, right here at Champions! Kids will learn how to make team contributions, how to give 100% and understand what it takes to be a team player. They’ll learn to understand how important your actions and attitudes are in football and life in general. Learn the life lessons Gilbert Brown discovered early, that motivated him to be his best, on and off the field.

Participants will take part in drills, learn sportsmanship, and basic football skills. They will hear a motivational story from multiple Super Bowl winning Green Bay Legends. This football focused presentation will talk about the characteristics needed to develop a positive mental attitude. Learn how to create a winning mindset and how valuable teamwork is to your organization.

Lunch and snacks will be provided! If your child has special dietary needs or allergies, please plan to pack them a lunch and snacks. Family is invited to watch the "Superbowl" following the camp at 5pm!
