Whitehall Township has declared a Snow Emergency, effective 7 AM Sunday, February 22nd through 7:00 PM Monday, February 23rd.

Due to the impending snow storm the Township is asking that:
Residents and businesses remove all vehicles from roadways to assist with snow removal and cleanup efforts.

Please ensure vehicles are clear of posted Snow Emergency Routes.

IMPORTANT:
Whitehall Township has declared a Snow Emergency, effective 12:00 PM Saturday, January 24 through 7:00 PM Monday, January 26th.

Due to the impending snow storm the Township is asking that:
Residents and businesses remove all vehicles from roadways to assist with snow removal and cleanup efforts.

Please wait till the end of the storm to open your driveway apron as crews will only plow to open driving lanes during the storm.

Widening curb to curb will take place after the storm.
Thank you for your cooperation and please stay safe.

Also, note that JP Mascaro has decided to cancel collections on Monday. They will be operating on a holiday schedule for the remainder of the week.

๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿป๐ŸŽ„ Santa Watch is officially underway ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿป

Every Christmas Eve, the Lehigh County Communications Center issues a special ATL (Attempt To Locate) for Santa as he travels through Lehigh County. This tradition gives families and kids a fun chance to listen in to our dispatchers.

Tune in during the scheduled broadcast times listed in the original post, or use the provided link if you donโ€™t have a radio or scanner. Itโ€™s a great way to add a little holiday magic while highlighting the dedication of our emergency communications professionals.

Thank you to all dispatchers and first responders working this holiday season to keep our communities safe.

Every year on Christmas Eve, the Lehigh County Communications Center broadcasts an ATL (Attempt To Locate) on Santa. This yearโ€™s broadcast will be done between 1-2 pm and 7-8 pm, as long as they do not interfere with any emergency incidents. You will be able to hear the broadcast on all major Lehigh County radio frequencies (Example: Fire North/South, Alerting, A-5, Police F-4/F-2. Be sure to listen in with the kids!

On Saturday evening, Whitehall Emergency Management responded to a 4th alarm apartment building fire which displaced residents.

With the assistance of Lehigh County EMA, South Whitehall EMA, Red Cross, and CART; we were able to get the displaced residents (and their pets) out of the inclement weather and transported to a temporary shelter. We would like to express thanks to all the responding agencies that assisted in this effort.
