The Whitehall Township Police Department is a progressive modern police department with 46 sworn officers and 5 civilian employees. The Whitehall Police Department prohibits enforcement profiling and will provide law enforcement services in a fair and impartial manner. E-Bike and E-Dirt Bike Safety and Accountability:

Our officers have recently taken proactive enforcement action that resulted in two incidents involving juveniles operating e-dirt bikes in the Townships parks and recreation areas. Charges are being filed for both incidents.

E-bikes come with responsibilities. Reckless riding, excessive speed, riding in an unsafe manner, or putting pedestrians, motorists, and other riders at risk can have serious consequences.

The Whitehall Township Police Department will continue to proactively address dangerous e-bike activity and hold those responsible accountable when violations occur.

Let's work together to keep our community safe while allowing everyone to enjoy our roadways, parks and neighborhoods.

This evening the Whitehall Township Police Department in coordination with the Lehigh County District Attorneys Office and the Lehigh County Coroners office investigated a homicide that occurred in the 5100 block of 3rd Street in Cementon.

There is no danger to the public. This remains an active investigation and additional information will be released as appropriate.

The Whitehall Township Police Department would like to extend our sincere thanks to St. Luke's Pre-Hospital Services for their generous donation of over $1,600.00 toward the purchase of LifeVac devices.

These life-saving choking rescue devices will be placed in our patrol vehicles and within the station, ensuring our officers are better equipped to respond to emergency situations and protect our community.

We are grateful for this partnership and continued support in helping us enhance public safety. Thank you for your commitment to saving lives!

*** TRAFFIC SAFETY INITIATIVE***

The Whitehall Township Police Department will be conducting a traffic enforcement blitz throughout the township. Officers will be actively targeting selected traffic violations during both daytime and nighttime hours.

This initiative is focused on improving roadway safety for all residents and visitors. Drivers are reminded to obey all traffic laws, remain alert, and make safe, responsible choices behind the wheel.
