Would you like to speak to an assessor about your assessment? Mark your calendar for open book period on June 23, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Village Board Room, located at 5300 N Marlborough Drive.

Open Book is an opportunity for property owners to:

🏠Review and discuss their property assessment with the assessor.
🏠Ask questions about how the property's value was determined.
🏠Correct factual errors (such as incorrect square footage, number of bathrooms, lot size, etc.).
🏠Learn more about the assessment process and valuation methods.
🏠Provide information that may affect the assessment.

REMINDER 📢 Public visioning sessions for Klode Park Warming House are THIS WEEK.

The Kids’ Design Charette will focus on activities for children aged 6-14 and will take place on Monday, June 15th, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. The Adult Open House will take place on Tuesday, June 16th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Both events will be hosted on the second floor of the Whitefish Bay Public Library, at 5420 N Marlborough Drive.

🍦Celebrate the start of summer with the Ice Cream Social on June 17!🍦

After school is out for the summer, it’s a tradition to celebrate with the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation’s Ice Cream Social. Enjoy a sweet treat and music by the Village Band of Whitefish Bay. The music and first treat are complimentary, so we encourage you to come, enjoy and spend time with neighbors and friends, old and new. The annual event will take place at Old School House Park (5445 N. Marlborough Drive) across from the library on June 17.

Pending weather, DPW crews will be conducting routine maintenance to the Cahill detention basin this week. Activities will include clearing debris from the southern inlet as well as perimeter maintenance to manage the existing footprint of the invasive cattails. These maintenance activities are important to the management of the stormwater feature, especially with the expected rainfall this week.

Don't forget to mark your calendars! You can help shape the future of the Klode Park Warming House at one of the following sessions:

📢 Kids' Design Charrette: Monday, June 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
📢Adult Open House: Tuesday, June 16 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Both sessions will be held in an open house format, and participants are welcome to join at any time during the scheduled hours.

Please join us for a Public Involvement Meeting on June 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Whitefish Bay Public Library to address high crash rates at Hampton Ave. and Santa Monica Blvd. The meeting is an open-house format without a formal presentation. Project-related sketches and plans will be displayed at the meeting.

The following improvements are being evaluated:
🚗Updating the existing signal equipment, vehicle detection and intersection lighting to enhance signal visibility.
🚙Evaluating operational changes for turning vehicles, including potential signal phasing modifications such as protected-only, left-turn movements.
🚶Reconstructing the curb ramps to meet current American with Disabilities Act standards.
🚘Rehabilitating the pavement within the intersection to provide an improved driving surface and transitions to updated curb ramps.
