It may just look like we are having fun in the youth department but Perler beads are part of the job! 🙂 We are preparing for our Perler bead programs on Wednesday, June 17th! Tweens (entering 4th-6th grades) at 3-4pm and Teens (entering 7th and up) at 4-5pm. Create your own design or use one of ours!

Let’s give a warm welcome to Sandy, our new Head of Circulation Services! Sandy is not new to MCFLS. She has been in the roles of librarian, head of circulation, and assistant director at other Milwaukee area libraries! Welcome Sandy!

Unearth a Story at the Whitefish Bay Public Library this summer with our summer reading program. We've got a program for any and all ages. Sign up begins on June 8. Adults will use Beanstack and kids can get a paper log in person at the library starting June 8.

Please note the library will be closed this Sunday and Monday for Memorial Day. This also is the weekend that begins our summer hours, which means we are now closed Sundays through Labor Day.

You've probably walked by the Whitefish Bay Armory many times, but do you know it's history? Check out this article from OnMilwaukee written by Bobby Tanzilo.

The property at 1225 E Henry Clay St. was wiped off the National Register of Historic Places because the building on the site - the Whitefish Bay National Guard Armory - was demolished in 2004. The site, now a park and veterans' memorial, hosts next week's Memorial Day ceremony.
