Whitefield Recycling Center A place for Whitefield residents to recycle, while they can also utilize the swap shop.

Cardboard, Paper, Newspaper, #2 with a slew of other plastics, Tin cans, Brown Green and Clear Glass, along with Electronic Waste is all accepted here at the Center. We also has a swap shop where you can take, give, or swap good quality items.

The inside of the Whitefield Recycling Center will be closed today 12/24 due to no power. The outside bins are still open! We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Be safe out there and Happy Holidays to everyone! :)

Update: The small newspaper bin has been removed for now. Newspapers can now be put in the "Mixed Paper Bin" along with magazines. Please let me know if you have any questions! Thank you :)

The Whitefield Recycling Center will have a collection bin for ice skates in anticipation of the community ice rink opening this winter. If you have any used skates you would like to donate or you are in need of any, please take advantage of this collection bin :)

If anyone happened to walk away with the Recycling Center's tall trash "grabber/reacher" tool today would they please mind returning it next Saturday? I'm sure it was an honest mistake and was thought to be a Swap Shop item, but we definitely need it back to pick trash out of the bins :) Thank you!

The Swap Shop will re-open this Saturday October 3rd. Only one person will be permitted in the Swap Shop at a time. If someone is waiting to look in the Swap Shop, please limit your viewing time to about 5 minutes. Also, please remember all items must be checked in by the attendant. We can only take small items in good condition. Thank you for your understanding.

Update: The Whitefield Recycling Center will open Saturday May 23rd. The swap shop will be closed until further notice. One person will be allowed in the building at a time to recycle tin, glass, returnables, etc. New safety protocol will be available on the town website. Thank you for your understanding.

Our Story

The Whitefield Recycling Center currently accepts: cardboard, mixed paper, newspaper and magazines, #2 clear and colored plastics, rigid plastics, tin cans, aluminum, brown, green and clear glass, fluorescent light bulbs, rechargeable batteries, and certain electronics. We also have a swap shop where you can take, give, or swap good quality items that are checked in by the attendant on duty.
