NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:

The City of White Sulphur Springs will hold a public hearing during its regular meeting on Monday, March 2, 2026, scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm at City Hall, 105 West Hampton, in White Sulphur Springs. The City has scheduled a hearing to obtain public comments regarding proposed improvements to the City of White Sulphur Springs' wastewater system. With assistance from Great West Engineering, the City is preparing a wastewater preliminary engineering report (PER). It may apply for funding from the Montana Department of Commerce, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, USDA Rural Development, or the Department of Environmental Quality's Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program.

At the public hearing, White Sulphur Springs and Great West Engineering representatives will explain the project's purpose, project area, scope of work, budget, possible funding sources, and any costs that may result for local citizens. During the public hearing, residents may ask questions and express their opinions on the project and its potential impact on the City of White Sulphur Springs.

PARKS ADVISORY COMMITTEE VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The City of White Sulphur Springs has an opening for an interested person to serve on the City Parks Advisory Committee.

Any interested individuals may submit a letter of interest to City Hall OR may email their letter to: [email protected] to be received by 5:00 p.m. on January 29, 2026. Preference may be given to members of the community via a non-profit organization, business, or as a resident of the City or its environs. An interest in our parks and public spaces is helpful.

The City Council will review submissions to fill this Advisory Committee at its regular meeting on February 2, 2026 beginning at 1:00 pm. Applicants should plan to attend this meeting. This position is open until filled.

3. Stormwater PER (Preliminary Engineering Report) prepared by Great West Engineering.

The City of White Sulphur Springs has a vacancy on the City Council with the resignation of Council President Ron Frisbie. The general term of office is 4 years. The current term for this seat expires on December 31, 2027.

Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen over the age of 18 and be a resident of the City for at least 60 days and registered to vote.

All candidates will be present on November 18, 2025 during the City Council meeting for those in attendance to consider their interest and qualifications.
