Hamilton County Emergency Management Operations Center Severe Weather Notice
A weather statement has been issued for Hamilton and many other counties in North Florida. We are predicted to experience below freezing temperatures mixed with precipitation that could produce snow flurries but more likely standing ice and very dangerous driving conditions.
Prepare for road closures.
If you do not NEED to be on the roadways, please stay home until weather conditions improve and permit safe travel.
Comfort Stations will be open from 6: PM to 10: AM starting this evening for immediate need for shelter at all Hamilton County Public Libraries, to include White Springs, Jennings and Jasper. These are not long term shelters. If you need to shelter, you will need to bring your own necessities such as food/snacks & drinks, blankets and toiletries. (No showers available.)
If a comfort station is needed, it is recommended that you arrive prior to sub-freezing temperatures.
This is not a pet friendly location. Only documented SERVICE animals will be allowed. (You will need to provide appropriate documentation.)
If you have any questions regarding the comfort stations, please contact
Hamilton County Emergency Management at 386-792-6647.
