White Settlement Police Department WSPD is a full service police department of 60 employees serving the city and military base. 911 for emergencies.

White Settlement Fire Department is partnering with Goodwill North Central Texas for a community Donation Drive on Saturday, September 19!

Take a look through your closets, cabinets, garage, and storage areas. If you have clean, gently used clothing, shoes, household goods, and other eligible items that you no longer need, set them aside and bring them to the fire station.

Saturday, September 19
8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

We are making donation drop-off as easy as possible. On the day of the drive, follow the posted Donation Drive signs to the designated apparatus bay. Personnel will direct vehicles through the bay and assist with unloading donations before you continue toward the exit.

We will also share a detailed drop-off map in the days leading up to the event so you will know exactly where to go when you arrive.

Proceeds from the donation drive will benefit the White Settlement Fire Department Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT.

Start cleaning out those closets now and help us make this drive a success!

Twenty-five years ago, our nation was forever changed.

On September 11, 2001, 2,977 innocent lives were lost in acts of unimaginable terror. Among them were 343 firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, 37 Port Authority Police officers, and other first responders who ran toward danger to save the lives of those they vowed to protect.

Today, we remember every life lost, every family forever changed, and every first responder who answered the call without hesitation. We also honor those who continued to serve in the days, months, and years that followed, many of whom later lost their lives to illnesses related to their service at Ground Zero.

Twenty-five years later, we have not forgotten.

We remember the lives.
We remember the sacrifice.
We remember the courage.
We remember September 11, 2001.

We’ve been made aware of an outage affecting the North side of town. Oncor’s estimated time of restoration is 10:30pm as of this post.

Please use caution if you are driving, come to complete stop at all intersections, and look both ways. The following intersections currently have no traffic signals: Saddle Rd & Clifford, Bomber Rd & Clifford, Lockheed Delivery Gate, Cherry Ln & Clifford, N. Las Vegas Trl & Silver Creek, Saddle Rd & Silver Creek. The Streets Dept is working on getting stop signs placed at the affected intersections.

🚨 SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING! 🚨

A concerned citizen recently called in after noticing a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway. It may have seemed like a simple traffic hazard at the time however when officers responded to investigate, they discovered an intoxicated driver behind the wheel.

That one phone call helped get an impaired driver off the road before someone was seriously hurt. If something doesn’t look right, don’t assume someone else has already called. Trust your instincts and make the call. You never know what your call may prevent.
