UPDATE 1:55 PM- Power is Restored

We have been notified that the north side of town is currently without power, impacting traffic signals in the area. The red lights at the intersections of Silver Creek & North Las Vegas Trail and Silver Creek & Saddle Road are not operational at this time.

Stop signs will be placed at both intersections. Please use caution and treat these areas as a four-way stop.

Oncor has informed us that power is expected to be restored at approximately 3:00 PM. We will provide updates as they become available.

Outstanding teamwork by our officers and dispatchers ensured this family’s rescue had a safe outcome. Through quick coordination, constant communication by Dispatchers Gunnar Tomlinson and Shyanne Hoffman, and rapid deployment of additional resources, every effort was made to keep all involved safe and accounted for during this dangerous floodwater emergency.

Thanks to the swift actions and leadership of Sgt. John Banner and his shift, what could have been a tragedy ended with this family safely rescued.
