Another great night for BMS Football last night as the Bears took on the Irma Marsh Lions! Our teams played hard and represented BMS well.

Ms. Castillo’s 6th grade Social Studies students kicked off the year by creating their own Classroom Constitution! Students first worked together to solve a puzzle without seeing the final picture, then reflected on what helped their teams succeed and what made teamwork challenging. From there, they came together as a class to create five shared expectations for a fun, respectful, and productive classroom.

What a great way to build teamwork, student voice, and ownership from the very beginning! 💙🐻

💙🐻 BMS SCHOOL SPIRIT IS IN FULL EFFECT! 🐻💙

BMS showed up and showed OUT for the first football game of the year! Our first Battle of the Grades: Clash of Colors was a huge success, and 6th Grade took home the Most Spirited Award! 🏆🎉

Tomorrow, 7th Grade Football is HOME, and our spirit theme is:

🌲🦌 CAMO: Hunt Down the Competition! 🦌🌲

💦Science in Action! 💦
Our 8th grade students are exploring the unique properties of water through hands-on investigations of adhesion, cohesion, and surface tension. From seeing how many drops of water could fit on a penny to carefully floating paper clips on water, they're discovering that there's more to water than meets the eye!

Learn how to have conversations with your teen about opioid and substance use AND get a $50 gift card!

WSISD has partnered with the UNT Health Fort Worth and the City of Fort Worth to provide “How to have difficult conversations about opioids and substance abuse avoidance with your teen!"

Brewer High School and Brewer Middle School families and any community members are encouraged to attend the presentation at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the WSISD Administration Building, 8224 White Settlement Road. Any individual who attends and completes the survey at the end of the training will get a $50 gift card.
