Our mid-point blower door test showed .78 ACH50!
That means when you depressurize the house, using the fan insert you see here, you can measure how much air escapes the house at 50 CFM. This is measured in air changes per hour, or ACH50.
Less than 1 means you have a super tight house!
But houses need to breathe, right?!?! 😮‍💨🏠💨
Yes! Fresh air is important, that’s why this home will have an air exchanger that exausts stale air, brings in fresh air, and circulates it around the home.
Passing the mid-point test is a big accomplishment, and opens the door for rebates, while ensuring the homeowner won’t be throwing their utility dollars out to the wind!

Habitat is “On Tap” at in Waitsfield, VT now through Feb 28th! Here’s the model: the Lawson’s team earns generous wages with hospitality included in the Taproom guest experience. In lieu of tips, guests are invited to donate to the Sunshine Fund where 100% of donations support local nonprofits. UV Habitat is honored and grateful to be the recipient of funds raised over the next 2 weeks! Stay tuned because we’ll be in the Tap Room Wednesday the 25th!

Check out Upper Valley Habitat's debut in Seven Days. "The Nest" features stories about the housing crisis, and what can be done about it. We were honored to have our Nutt Lane project in the conversation.

Inflation and an unstable economy have made it challenging to build quality homes on a budget. The Upper Valley nonprofit is getting creative to meet demand.
