Dear Friends and Neighbors,
The White Post Village Association has exciting news to share with you! The
reconstruction of the Livery, located behind the Sinclair Gas Station, is ready to begin this spring. Architectural plans have been approved by the Clarke County Historical Preservation Committee and a Certificate of Appropriateness has been issued. We met with several local contractors and obtained bids before selecting Poe’s Home Improvement, a contractor well-known to many of you. Not only will the renovation of the Livery improve the overall aesthetics of the village, it will also provide a common-use area, appropriate for community gatherings, picnics, and meetings.
The WPVA continues to pay the electric bill every month for the twenty-three
streetlights we installed years ago. The association maintains two village green areas, as well as the Sinclair Gas Station. We continue to care for the large flags you see on flagpoles in two locations and fly smaller flags throughout the village on specific holidays. Even with these recurring expenses, we have been able to secure the initial funding for the Livery project through various fundraising efforts. However, additional financial support is necessary. We hope you will consider donating toward our goal of raising $50,000. Every donation, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions or if you would like to see a rendering of the architectural plans for the Livery, feel free to email us at [email protected].
Donations may be mailed to WPVA, PO Box 222, White Post, VA 22663.
Thank you for your continued support!
