🌿🌺 OUTWALKING GOES TO THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN! 🌈

Join us for a special September OUTWalking excursion as we explore the incredible 250 acres of the New York Botanical Garden!

We’ll explore some of NYBG’s must-see highlights, including the special Flower Power exhibition, historic 1902 Conservatory, Rose Garden, and the largest remaining old-growth forest in New York City. 🌹🌳

🚆 Getting there: We’ll meet at the Mosholu Entrance, right next to the Botanical Garden Metro-North station. We encourage taking Metro-North when possible, as parking at NYBG is an additional $25.

🌈 REBUILDING RAINBOWS: IPV SURVIVOR PEER SUPPORT GROUP

You are not alone. Healing is possible — and it can begin in community. 💜

Rebuilding Rainbows is a confidential, affirming peer support space for LGBTQ+ survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) to connect with others who understand the unique dynamics of abuse within q***r and trans relationships.

Facilitated by a trauma-informed therapist, the group centers safety, empowerment, connection, and healing without judgment.

📅 SEPTEMBER DATE CHANGE: This group usually meets on the first Monday of the month, but September’s meeting will take place Monday, September 14.

🕊️ In Loving Memory of Dolly Parton 🕊️

Today, The LOFT joins millions around the world in mourning the loss of Dolly Parton, an extraordinary artist, philanthropist, and cultural icon whose life was defined by far more than the music she gave us.

For generations of LGBTQ+ people, Dolly represented something deeply meaningful: the courage to be unmistakably yourself. She embraced individuality with joy, led with humor and humanity, and consistently spoke from a place of acceptance, empathy, and love.

Her larger-than-life style made us smile, her music became part of the soundtrack of our lives, and her kindness reminded us of the extraordinary impact one person can have when they choose to make room for others.

Dolly's legacy will live on in every person she inspired to stand a little taller, love a little more freely, and be a little more unapologetically themselves.

Thank you, Dolly. We will always love you. 💜✨

The LOFT is a proud member of The Network, a coalition of over 60 LGBTQ+ organizations located across New York State. While services and support for LGBTQIA+ folks across the country are shrinking and being defunded, we are expanding our reach and shared capacity. Providers across the state will be more interconnected, ensuring high-quality care is available for the LGBTQIA+ communities we serve across the state.
